Ashwan and his wife Rita are wonderful innkeepers, always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean with comfortable beds and many extra touches to make your stay a pleasant one. The grounds are lovely with many flowering plants, weeping willow trees and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. There is a beautiful secluded pool. A fire pit with lots of seating has recently been added to the grounds. A continental breakfast is also provided with outside tables and chairs provided. There are many interesting places to visit in the Williamstown area. Maple Terrace Motel is in a bucolic setting., with a large field in which to sit and relax in one of the chairs, There's large outdoor pool that is well maintained. We have stayed at the Maple Terrace Motel multiple times. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fresh and tasty and the staff is wonderful. Rita and Ashwan have added some nice touches to the property since our visit a year ago: there is a large fire pit surrounded by comfortable, sturdy garden chairs; and there is an expanded outdoor breakfast area. The location of this property in Williamstown is perfect: close to Mout Greylock, to Williams College, and to the Clark Art Museum. Spacious with a full kitchen. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. What makes this place stand out are the beautiful grounds, inviting pool, with many places to sit and relax, including a fire pit at night. We always stay at Maple Terrace when visiting North Adams and Williamstown. Great rooms, clean and modern! They have a lovely "backyard" with a pool and now a gas firepit for the evenings! I've been going to the Maple Terrace since 2011, but this year as a solo traveler. Since the current owners (who go out of the way for you and make you feel at home) have taken over (they have now owned for many years), every time I come back with the last being in June 2024... there are improvements galore not only to the rooms, but the property as well. The coolest additions are a new fire pit near their pool with plenty of Adirondack chairs and a covered patio connected to the main building. As a solo traveler, it's an extremely safe environment with zero worries. My wife and I spent the weekend in Williamstown to visit MASS MoCA, and I was quite surprised with her selection of a Motel for our stay (Motel is normally a four-letter word for her), which she booked several months in advance. She did her research and determined that the Maple Terrace Motel was the best blend of value, location, and comfort, and boy was she right. We stayed in a deluxe King Room, which was spacious and very, very clean. The owners focus on providing a great experience was apparent from the get-go with the pleasant greeting at reception, including a very detailed and helpful overview of dining options in the area, the nice little touches in the room (Hershey's kisses on the night stands, small cinnamon rolls and spring water bottles on the fridge), easily positioned smart HDTV with an extensive cable TV line-up, beautiful grounds with multiple seating areas, one over-looking rolling hills with huge willow trees and grazing horses, and the well maintained, outdoor heated pool area. We also enjoyed a pleasant walk through the adjacent cemetery to the Water Street wine shop and restaurants. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

Very small bath and shower but again it worked. Beautiful pool and beautiful gas fireplace with brand new outdoor seating and paved walkways. Very reasonable for what we paid.Getting a full size pickup in the lot was hard. Definitely couldn’t be hauling anything. Very nice office staff as well as maid staff. This was one of the cleanest motels we’ve ever been in. Bathroom was spotless as well as the room. The little things that helped make it five stars were the bottled water and candy along with two cinnamon rolls on the table. None of your chains do that anymore.The whole operation you can see is well maintained for an older place. Gardens and picnic tables make it special. Close to the college if that’s what you are looking for. We traveled with a large dog for a $30 up charge. That’s very reasonable today with most charging $75. Rita and Ashwan are great hosts and keep the grounds and facilities very clean and neat. The table and chair settings outside each room, the chair groupings in the garden and at the pool provide the perfect places to socialize. New for us this year is the addition of a beautiful gas firepit and patio with plenty of seating which we all enjoyed after each days concerts. A group of friends and I have been staying there for the past 10 years for the Solid Sound Festival in North Adams. Rita and Ashwam have put so much care into this welcoming and beautiful place. The grounds are worth spending time exploring - from the colorful gardens to the neighboring horse farm. I loved sitting at the pool enjoying the bucolic view! There is a good variety of breakfast options available each morning. Our family enjoyed the fire pit at the end of the day! It's amazing how you cannot hear any noise from the other rooms. Our 1 year-old niece was next door and despite her efforts, she never woke us! The staff are all very attentive and available for any of our questions. We highly recommend staying at Maple Terrace if you are visiting the Williamstown or North Adams area.Richard Salter2024-06-27I just finished a 3-night stay and really enjoyed it. This is my 3rd year in a row of meeting up with friends at the Maple Terrace to do some bike riding and other things in the Williamstown area. Ashwan and Rita are great hosts, very friendly & welcoming, and their passion for continually improving the hotel is very evident. The landscaping is beautiful, they've added a firepit this year, the rooms are spotless & comfortable, and the setting is quiet. It's a short walk or drive to downtown Williamstown and its restaurants & shops.
